Physical edition of The LEGO Movie 2 Videogame arrives on Nintendo Switch

March 15, 2019 by Andrew Newton

If, like me, you prefer to have physical copies of games then Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, TT Games and The LEGO Group have announced the release of the physical edition of The LEGO Movie 2 Videogame on Nintendo Switch.  Details have also been released about “Galactic Adventures”, the post launch bonus content coming free on all platforms in April.

The LEGO Movie 2 Videogame will see everyone’s favourite average LEGO character Emmet travel from the ruins of Apocalypseburg (formerly known as Bricksburg) to other worlds to hunt down the strange creatures of the Systar System.  Accompanied on his journey by Lucy and many other favourite characters from the film, Emmet will go above and beyond to save their friends.  Players will be able to meet over 100 characters, both new and old, including Batman, President Business, Benny and General Mayhem.

In the upcoming “Galactic Adventures” DLC, players will be able to visit three new locations, these are:

  • Dis-Harmony City – The Justice League are sent from Bricksburg to stop the Alien invaders but when their ship is destroyed and scattered across the stars, it’s up to General Mayhem to seek them out.
  • The Queens’s Palace – General Mayhem returns to find Queen Watevra Wa’Nabi in a panic so must complete various wedding preparations to help get the ceremony back on track.
  • The Rexcelsior – This location tell of how Rex Dangervest befriended his Raptor crew aboard his flagship. Rex will need to complete various tasks to train his Raptors to perform unusual feats such as skateboarding and spaceship repair.

Get your physical copy of The LEGO Movie 2 Videogame for Nintendo Switch now and look out for the free post launch content coming out in April on all formats.
