It Chapter Two runtime and director’s cut announced

July 30, 2019 by Samuel Brace

The runtime for It Chapter Two has been revealed and a producer has teased an epic director’s cut of the movie.

It Chapter Two is quickly approaching and it looks like we are going to be trapped in the cinema with Pennywise for a while as the film’s runtime has been revealed to be a whopping 2hrs 45 mins.

Producer Barbara Muschietti also revealed to Digital Spy that Chapter Two will be getting a director’s cut as well, so fans can enjoy even more of the movie: “We will put out a director’s cut because this time it definitely merits it. We have some amazing scenes that didn’t make it into the movie. You have to make choices sometimes and some things cannot be in this theatrical release but are definitely worthy of people seeing them at a later date.”

Fingers crossed that the movie lives up to the hype! If so, fans will surely devour a beefy director’s cut even after seeing the nearly three-hour theatrical release.

Because every 27 years evil revisits the town of Derry, Maine, “It Chapter Two” brings the characters—who’ve long since gone their separate ways—back together as adults, nearly three decades after the events of the first film.

It Chapter Two will see Bill Skarsgard reprising his role as Pennywise the Dancing Clown, while Jessica Chastain (Beverly), James McAvoy (Bill), Bill Hader (Richie), James Ransone (Eddie), Andy Bean (Stanley), Jay Ryan (Ben) and Isaiah Mustafa (Mike) star as the adult versions of The Losers’ Club. Young It stars Jaeden Martell, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Sophia Lillis, Finn Wolfhard, Wyatt Oleff, Jack Dylan Grazer and Chosen Jacobs are also set to reprise their roles from the first movie in flashback sequences. It is set for release on September 6th 2019.
