Henry Thomas cast in The Haunting of Bly Manor

August 28, 2019 by Ricky Church

Henry Thomas (E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial) is set to star in The Haunting of Bly Manor, the second season of Netflix’s horror anthology series. Thomas previously starred in The Haunting of Hill House and is the third cast member from that series to return for this second season, albeit as a different character.

The Haunting of Bly Manor is based upon Henry James’ classic gothic horror novella The Turn of the Screw, which revolves around a young governess caring for two orphans in an old country mansion, who becomes convinced that the estate is haunted.

Thomas joins Hill House alums Oliver Jackson-Cohen and Victoria Pedretti. Pedretti will star as a governess named Dani “who takes care of two very unusual children” while Jackson-Cohen will play a man named Peter, who is described simply as “a charming fellow.” Details on Thomas’ character are being kept under wraps for the time being.

The Haunting of Bly Manor is slated to hit Netflix in 2020, with Mike Flanagan (Doctor Sleep, Gerald’s Game) returning as showrunner.
