Marvel taking pitches for the Hawkeye Disney+ TV series

August 21, 2019 by Samuel Brace

The development for the Hawkeye TV series is currently underway and thanks to one individual, we know they are currently interviewing showrunners.

Many fans were excited to learn that Hawkeye and Jeremy Renner would be getting a solo series on Disney+. Details are sparse right now, save for the fact that it will feature the character of Kate Bishop, but we do have some sense of how far along the road development is.

Writer Amy Berg (Eureka and The 440) took to Twitter to express her disappointment about missing out on the opportunity to shepherd the series: “I haven’t lost out on many jobs over my career, but I lost out on one today that stings just a bit. Sad to say, you’re not going to see my take on these two. I think you would’ve loved it.”

No showrunner has yet been named for the series but we do know it won’t be Amy Berg. Is there anyone you would like to see running the show? Let us know in the comments below and on Twitter @flickeringmyth.
