Byron Mann’s Yao Fei returning to Arrow for final season

September 10, 2019 by Gary Collinson

Oliver Queen’s first mentor Yao Fei is set to make his return to Arrow for the DC superhero show’s upcoming eighth and final season, with Wu Assassins star Byron Mann set to reprise the role he portrayed in the first season.

Mann joins an ever-growing list of actors who’ll be back for the Green Arrow’s final run of episodes, with the likes of John Barrowman (Malcolm Merlyn), Colin Donnell (Tommy Merlyn), Josh Segarra (Prometheus) and Susanna Thompson (Moira Queen) all confirmed for appearances.

Stephen Amell’s Oliver Queen spent much of the first season’s flashbacks on Lian Yu with Yao Fei, a master archer who served as a mentor to Oliver and inspired both his costume and choice of weapon.
