Emily Beecham joins Emma Stone in Disney’s Cruella

September 22, 2019 by Gary Collinson

Following her Best Actress win for Little Joe at Cannes earlier this year, British actress Emily Beecham (Daphne, Into the Badlands) has signed on to star alongside Emma Stone in the live-action 101 Dalmatians prequel Cruella.

Beecham’s role is being kept under wraps at present, but she joins a cast that includes Stone as a young version of the iconic Disney villain Cruella de Vil alongside Emma Thompson (Years and Years), Joel Fry (Game of Thrones) and Paul Walter Hauser (BlacKkKlansman).

Filming on Cruella is now underway at Shepperton Studios in the UK, with Craig Gillespie (I, Tonya) directing from a script by Tony McNamara (The Favourite). It is set for release on May 28th 2021.
