The Third Doctor gets a new collectible figure from Big Chief Studios

September 12, 2019 by Amie Cranswick

Big Chief Studios has released promotional images for the Third Doctor which is based on the appearance of Jon Pertwee as the Time Lord in the classic British sci-fi series Doctor Who. The collectible is limited to 500 pieces and is available to pre-order now, priced at $260.00; check it out here…

Sentenced by the Time Lords to be exiled on earth, the newly regenerated Third Doctor was confident, bold and brash. Yet he had a soft paternal side, reserved for those he cared about. During his exile he became allied to the extraterrestrial taskforce UNIT, helping them to combat living plastic Autons, Sea Devils and polluted giant green maggots. As well as his most formidable foe and fellow renegade Time Lord, The Master. Eventually he was allowed to travel again, and it was on one such trip that the Doctor received a fatal dose of radiation, prompting him to regenerate once again.

Our Third Doctor figure stands tall with a breath-taking likeness of the incomparable Jon Pertwee, who so memorably portrayed the Time Lord from 1970 to 1974. Outfitted in his dark blue velvet jacket with embroidered piping, frilled shirt, western tie and of course that cape. Ready for action the Third Doctor comes with his trusty Sonic Screwdriver, plus a host of other accessories including: magnifying glass Sea Devil gun; Guerrilla gun; remote control for Bessie; Metebelis Crystal and TARDIS Key. A variety of posed hands as well as gloved hands comes as standard, as does his light-up display base with Gallifreyan symbol for the number three.
