Disney+ has a team dedicated to greenlighting Star Wars and Marvel projects

November 6, 2019 by Samuel Brace

Disney+ has a team that is dedicated to greenlighting future projects for the new streaming service and this includes Star Wars and Marvel.

Disney+ has already got a slew of Marvel and Star Wars projects lined up, including The Mandalorian and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. But these two enormous franchises don’t just get automatic spots on the service.

Speaking about the process and how future content will make its way to the platform, a Disney+ spokesperson told ComicBook.com: “A dedicated Disney+ programming team decides what shows and movies are greenlit for Disney+ but eventually, for the most part, everything that falls under the Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, Marvel, and National Geographic brands will stream on the Disney+ service.”
