Daisy Ridley “can’t imagine” playing Rey again after Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

December 4, 2019 by Liam Waddington

In a recent interview with British GQ, Daisy Ridley, who plays Rey in the Star Wars Sequel Trilogy, has expressed doubt in returning to the role right now after her run ends in The Rise of Skywalker – but doesn’t know what’ll happen in years to come.

“It felt like an end… I can’t actually imagine it right now,” Ridley explained. “I don’t know what’ll happen in however many years.”

This statement by Ridley mimics her comments made a couple of years ago in an interview with Rolling Stone where she claimed she was really excited to do the third instalment but felt like it was “the right time to round it out.”

“No, no, no. I am really, really excited to do the third thing and round it out, because ultimately, what I was signing on to was three films,” Ridley said. “So in my head, it’s three films. I think it will feel like the right time to round it out.”
