First trailer for Escape From Pretoria starring Daniel Radcliffe, Daniel Webber and Mark Leonard Winter

Signature Entertainment has debuted the first trailer for Escape from Pretoria, the upcoming thriller from director Francis Annan, which stars Daniel Radcliffe, Daniel Webber, and Mark Leonard Winter as anti-apartheid activists, who in 1979 plotted to escape from the Pretoria Central Prison in South Africa; watch it here…

Daniel Radcliffe stars as Tim Jenkins – a real life ANC activist who was imprisoned in Africa’s maximum security prison Pretoria in the 1970’s during the Apartheid. Along with two imprisoned fellow freedom fighters, played by Daniel Webber and Mark Leonard Winter, Tim escaped on 11 th December 1970 using hand-made wooden keys which he crafted whilst incarcerated.

Escape from Pretoria is set for release on March 6th.
