December 5, 2019 by Samuel Brace

Richard E. Grant, one of the new stars of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, has shared his emotional reaction to watching the first cast screening.

The build-up to The Rise of Skywalker is certainly getting intense, with many fans desperate to experience the last ever movie in the Skywalker saga. We don’t know how audiences will react quite yet but one of its stars has shared his thoughts on the first cast screening.

Richard E. Grant is a new recruit for Episode IX, playing the First Order’s Allegiant General Pryde. Taking to Twitter, the actor posted his reaction to seeing the film for the first time: “Just seen the 1st cast screening of @starwars #THE RISE OF SKYWALKER. What it achieves, weaves & resolves, is a total emotional meltdown & resurrection of the Spirit. Bravo to @jjabrams & his astonishing cast & creative crew.”
