The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences have announced the nominations for the 92nd Academy Awards have been announced today, with the likes of Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman, Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Sam Mendes’ 1917, Noah Baumbach’s Marriage Story, and Bong Joon Ho’s Parasite all vying for recognition.
However, it’s Warner Bros. and DC Films’ Joker which leads the pack with eleven nominations in total including Best Picture, Best Director (Todd Phillips) and Best Actor (Joaquin Phoenix), while The Irishman, 1917 and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood are hot on its heels with 10 apiece.
