The Batman spy photos offer first look at Robert Pattinson on set as Bruce Wayne

January 8, 2020 by Gary Collinson

Following on from Monday’s first images (which included a possible glimpse of Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot, a.k.a. The Penguin), some new photos from the set of The Batman has surfaced online, which seemingly give us our first look at Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne.

According to reports, the first image in the Twitter embed below shows Pattinson sitting astride a motorcycle, while his stunt double then put on the helmet for additional shots. Check them out here…

Now that filming is underway, it’s surely only a matter of time until Pattinson dons the cape and cowl, so perhaps we can expect an official shot of him suited up as Batman in order to beat the inevitable spy photos? Let’s hope so…

The Batman is set for release on June 25th 2021, with Matt Reeves (War for the Planet of the Apes) directing a cast that includes Robert Pattinson (The Lighthouse) as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Zoe Kravitz (Big Little Lies) as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, Colin Farrell (Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them) as Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin, Paul Dano (Escape at Dannemora) as Edward Nygma/The Riddler, Jeffrey Wright (Westworld) as Commissioner Gordon, Andy Serkis (War for the Planet of the Apes) as Alfred Pennyworth, John Turturro (The Big Lebowski) as Carmine Falcone, and Peter Sarsgaard (The Killing) and newcomer Jayme Lawson in as yet unrevealed roles.
