Fast & Furious star Michelle Rodriquez would like to play Catwoman

February 4, 2020 by Liam Waddington

Fast & Furious veteran Michelle Rodriquez has revealed that she wouldn’t mind following in the footsteps of fellow co-star Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and joining the DC Universe as her favourite character, Catwoman.

In a recent interview with MTV International, Rodriquez explained that her favourite character is Catwoman because the character is neither good nor bad, she’s both.

“I would love to be a superhero. I think DC has my favourite superhero, which is Catwoman,” Rodriquez said. “I like her because she’s bad and good and I’m in the middle when it comes to being good. I’m pretty bad good so I would go the DC route ’cause there aren’t a lot of really great female superheroes in general and so I need a little edge or I can’t play and so Catwoman I think is my favourite.”

While Rodriquez would love to be Catwoman, the iconic character is already set to feature in Matt Reeves’ The Batman played by Zoe Kravitz (Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald). So if we were to get Rodriquez’s portrayal of the beloved Batman villain, it would most likely not be anytime soon.

However, Rodriquez is set to reprise her role as Letty alongside Vin Diesel in the long-running Fast & Furious franchise when Fast & Furious 9 is released in May.
