Keanu Reeves’ Neo gets a new look in The Matrix 4 set video

With filming now underway on director Lana Wachowski’s hotly-anticipated fourth instalment in The Matrix franchise, a video from the San Francisco set of the sequel has surfaced which features Keanu Reeves’ Neo, who’s looking rather different since we last seen him sacrificing himself at the end of The Matrix Revolutions back in 2003.

At this point, plot details for The Matrix 4 are tightly locked down, and all we know for certain is that Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss and Jade Pinkett Smith are returning as Neo, Trinity and Niobe. It’s been rumoured that new addition Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Watchmen) could be playing a young Morpheus, while other newcomers to the franchise include Jessica Henwick (Iron Fist), Neil Patrick Harris (A Series of Unfortunate Events), Jonathan Groff (Frozen II), Priyanka Chopra (Baywatch) and Sense8 alumni Toby Onwumere, Max Riemelt and Erendira Ibarra.

The Matrix 4 is set for release on May 21st 2021.
