PlayStation Plus games for March 2020 include Shadow of the Colossus and Sonic Forces

February 27, 2020 by Andrew Newton

Sony has revealed the line-up of games that will be available to Playstation Plus subscribers this March. Starting 3rd March, Playstation gamers will be able to jump in to the mysterious world of Shadow of the Colossus, and enjoy high speed hijinks with Sonic Forces.

Shadow of the Colossus is a remake of a hugely popular 2005 Playstation 2 game and sees players enter a world of mystery and fantasy.  Taking the role of a young man called Wander, players will travel across a vast land, upon the back of his horse Agro, to defeat sixteen massive creatures.

Unlike many other action-adventure titles that have towns to explore, miscellaneous quests to embark on and dungeons to clear of enemies, Shadow of the Colossus has none, the only quest is to defeat each of these gargantuan creatures.  Each Colossus hides within its own lair and players will need to use skill and a bit of forethought if they are to succeed.

Although there are only 16 enemies to destroy, the world does have a number of different species of wildlife that will attack Wander on his journey.

Sonic Forces is a platformer that sees players set out to defeat Doctor Eggman who has conquered the world with the help of numerous enemies of Sonic.  Players can take the role of one of three characters, Classic Sonic, Modern Sonic and the player’s custom avatar, and save the world.

The game features several themed levels, with some based on previous games such as the classic Green Hill Zone and will need to defeat enemies, collect rings and spin dash their way over jumps, loops and more.  With the exception of Classic Sonic, players will be able to move their view from side-scrolling to third-person perspectives.

The March free games arrive on 3rd March so there’s still plenty of time to get those February games.
