Republic Gunship to get the LEGO Star Wars UCS treatment

February 13, 2020 by Gary Collinson

Last month The LEGO Group invited fans to help decide the next LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series set, and now the toy giant has announced that the poll has closed, with the Republic Gunship from Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones fending off competition from two other potential sets in the the Rebel Alliance’s Nebulon B Escort Frigate and the Empire’s TIE Bomber.

As reported by The Brick Fan, LEGO has confirmed that the Republic Gunship will be “one of the next UCS sets,” suggesting that it may not be the next entry in the line. It will be the first Republic Gunship set to release since set 75021 back in 2013.

The most recent release in the Ultimate Collector Series was the 4784-piece Imperial Star Destroyer (75252), which arrived this past October. As yet, there’s no word when we can expect the next UCS set to hit shelves.

Will you be picking up the Republic Gunship UCS set? Would you have rather had the Rebel Frigate or TIE Bomber? Let us know in the comments or on our social channels…
