Bella Thorne starring in indie thriller Habit

Bella Thorne (The Duff, Midnight Sun) has been cast as the lead in Habit, a new indie film from first time filmmaker Janell Shirtcliff and screenwriter Suki Kaiser.

The film sees the former Disney star playing “a street smart party girl with a Jesus fetish who gets mixed up in a violent drug deal and finds a possible way out — by masquerading as a Nun.”

Filming on Habit is underway now, with a cast that also includes Bria Vinaite, Josie Ho, Larissa Andrade and Libby Mintz.

Thorne was last seen on the big screen in the supernatural thriller I Still See You and has a number of projects incoming this year, including the thrillers Masquerade and Girl and Netflix horror sequel The Babysitter 2.
