Archer’s season 11 premiere delayed

April 6, 2020 by EJ Moreno

The 11th season of the hit animated series, Archer, will no longer premiere in May.

“Due to production challenges and scheduling issues, season 11 of FXX’s Emmy award-winning animated comedy series Archer will no longer premiere on May 6th,” FX Networks said in a statement. “FX will shift the premiere date to later this year.”

Archer is now adding its name as another show affected by the on-going global crisis. This news from FX is following the countless networks making programming shifts recently. In some cases, premiere dates are pushed back or moved up in some instances, while seasons of many shows, including AMC’s The Walking Dead, have been cut short. Other shows will air a few episodes and then resume production on their remaining episodes at a later date.

Season 11 of Archer is set to follow the new adventures of the titular super spy as he is finally awakening from a three-year coma. The previous three seasons have all been expanded dream sequences Archer experiences, taking place in 1940s Los Angeles, the South Seas in the 1930s, and finally in space in the future.
