Adult Swim revives Netflix animated series Tuca & Bertie for second season

May 24, 2020 by Gary Collinson

Having been cancelled by Netflix after a single season, the adult animated comedy series Tuca & Bertie is set to return, with Adult Swim swooping in to revive the show with a second season order.

Created by Lisa Hanawalt (BoJack Horseman), Tuca & Bertie sees Tiffany Haddish and Ali Wong lending their voices to the titular characters, two two 30-year-old bird-women friends who live in the same apartment building.

“I’ve been a fan of Adult Swim shows since my teens, so I’m thrilled to bring my beloved fowl to the party and be a new voice for a fresh decade of absurd, irreverent, yet heartwarming adult animation,” said Hanawalt as part of the official season two announcement.
