Kevin James goes dark and sadistic in first trailer for home invasion film Becky

May 7, 2020 by EJ Moreno

Known for his lighter roles in television like King of Queens or films like Paul Blart: Mall Cop or Hitch, Kevin James is going a much different route in his next part at the actor and comedian will play a villain for the very first time in Jonathan Milott and Cary Murnion’s home invasion thriller Becky. Check out the first trailer (via EW) here:

Becky also stars Lulu Wilson (Annabelle: Creation) and Joel McHale (Community). Wilson will play ass-kicking “Kevin McCallister-type,” McHale will play her father, and James plays a convict who also happens to be a Nazi.

“The film centers on rebellious 14-year-old Becky (Lulu Wilson) as she’s brought to a weekend getaway at a lake house by her father in an effort to try to reconnect after her mother’s death. The trip takes a turn for the worse when a group of convicts on the run, led by the merciless Dominick (Kevin James), suddenly invade the lake house. Becky, not daddy’s little girl anymore, decides to take matters into her own hands.”

Quiver Distribution and Redbox Entertainment recently acquired the North American rights to Becky and set a digital and VOD release for June 5th.
