First look at Zack Snyder’s Justice League teases Darkseid

June 18, 2020 by EJ Moreno

The bells have rung, and the big bad Darkseid in on his way. Director Zack Snyder took to social media today to tease a brand new look at his upcoming version of  Justice League for HBO Max.

The preview features Wonder Woman discovering an ancient painting that looks a lot like iconic DC villain Darkseid. With a voice-over that feels ripped straight from Lex Luthor’s dialogue at the end of Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, we hear about “the god is dead,” and he teases a grave threat coming to Earth. Check out the teaser here…

Snyder teased in the tweet that he’ll be showcasing more at the DC Comics fan event, DC FanDome. The global virtual event will take place on August 22nd, and the press release promises “new announcements from WB Games, Film and TV, and comics.”

With this teaser , it seems like we might be seeing a  trailer for Zack Snyder’s Justice League at DC FanDome,

In Justice League, fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Justice League is directed by Zack Snyder and features Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta and Robin Wright as General Antiope, J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon, Amber Heard as Mera, Ciaran Hinds as Steppenwolf and Ray Porter as Darkseid.
