Samara Weaving joins Nicole Kidman in Nine Perfect Strangers

July 19, 2020 by Gary Collinson

Ready or Not and Hollywood star Samara Weaving has signed on to star alongside Nicole Kidman, Melissa McCarthy and Luke Evans in Nine Perfect Strangers, Hulu’s upcoming limited series adaptation of Big Little Lies author Liane Moriarty’s new book.

The series marks a reunion between Kidman and writer-producer David E. Kelly following their work on bringing Moriarty’s Big Little Lies to the screen, and takes place in “a boutique health-and-wellness resort that promises healing and transformation as nine stressed city dwellers try to get on a path to a better way of living. Watching over them during this ten-day retreat is the resort’s director Masha (Kidman), a woman on a mission to reinvigorate their tired minds and bodies. However, these nine ‘perfect’ strangers have no idea what is about to hit them.”

Weaving will next be seen in MGM’s sci-fi comedy threequel Bill & Ted Face the Music alongside Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves, and has also recently wrapped filming on Paramount Pictures’ G.I. Joe movie Snake Eyes, where she plays the character of Scarlett opposite Henry Golding as the title character.

Nine Perfect Strangers is targeting a 2021 premiere on Hulu.
