Taika Waititi confirms he has begun writing his Star Wars movie

July 23, 2020 by Samuel Brace

Taika Waititi, director of Thor: Ragnarok and The Mandalorian, has revealed that he has begun writing his Star Wars film.

When news broke that Taika Waititi would be directing his own Star Wars movie, there was a lot of excitement, especially from those who are fans of his work in the MCU.

Nothing is known about the movie or when it will come out, however, any report of a Star Wars movie is a big deal. But has Waititi started work on the project yet? Well, in a recent interview with the BBC, when the topic of Star Wars was brought up, he confirmed: “We’re writing.”

Waititi wasn’t interested in giving away any more than that, joking with the BBC: “This is you: ‘Here’s a question… Star Wars?’ How am I supposed to answer that? Yes.”
