Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam sits upon his throne in first-look concept art from DC movie

August 22, 2020 by EJ Moreno

Dwayne Johnson is Black Adam in this first look at his upcoming film featuring concept art of the anti-hero sitting on his throne, which was revealed during today’s DC FanDome panel where Johnson also opened up about the Black Adam film and what it means to play the character:

“Black Adam has been with me for a very, very long time… over 10-year plus… this has been in our DNA and our wiring for such a long time!” says Dwayne Johnson about his passion for the character. “This idea that you can take all of Black Adam’s powers and he does not practice restraint.. that makes for a really powerful combination. One that is explosive, dangerous, and really likable… in my opinion.”

Check out another look at Black Adam in action here…

Little is known about the film at this point, but will presumably explore the origin of Black Adam, a character who has roots in ancient Egypt and possesses magical powers similar to those of Zachary Levi’s Shazam.
