The horror, the horror! Oh, we’re (not) just quoting Apocalypse Now – we’re talking about the genre itself! Horror has seeped into everything, whether it’s action, comedy, sci-fi, fantasy, drama. And it doesn’t seem to be ending anytime soon.

The reality is video games are the biggest sources of this trend. The best way to illicit a reaction out of the player is to jolt them with something scary out of the blue. As such, we are going to take a look at another 5 terrifying moments in video games that were not quite horror, yet embraced aspects of the genre all the same.
