Amazon finds its Jack Reacher in Titans’ Alan Ritchson

September 6, 2020 by Gary Collinson

Amazon Studios upcoming Jack Reacher TV series has found its leading man, with Titans star Alan Ritchson set for the title role in the small screen adaptation of author Lee Childs’ best-selling book series.

At 6’4” and 235 pounds, Richtson certainly fits the physical description of the 6’5″ Reacher, a U.S. Army veteran who now roams the United States investigating suspicious activities that frequently put him in danger.

Tom Cruise previously portrayed the character in 2012’s Jack Reacher and its 2016′ sequel Jack Reacher: Never Go Back, although Cruise was criticised as a poor physical fit for the character both from fans of the book series and from Child himself, with the author also claiming recently that the Hollywood star is “too old” for action movies these days.

The Jack Reacher series is headed up by writer and showrunner Nick Santora (Prison Break), with the first season set to adapt the first novel in the series, Killing Floor.
