Avatar 2 producer shares new photos of humans in battle

With Avatar 2 resuming production after its lockdown, producer Jon Landau has shared a couple new behind the scenes photos from James Cameron’s upcoming sequel. The stills show soldiers from Earth’s Resources Development Administration back on Pandora and in battle, teasing the the action audiences will see when the film finally hits theatres. On his Instagram page, Landau describes the first photo with 2nd Unit Director Garret Warren coordinating the action. Garrett Warren, 2nd Unit Director, gives stuntman Steve Brown some notes before a take. Garrett, Richard Bluck (2nd Unit DP) and the Kiwi team have been getting some great shots. Keep it up.”

Avatar 2 sees Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Matt Gerald, Dileep Rao, Stephen Lang, Giovanni Ribisi and Sigourney Weaver all reprising their roles from the 2009 blockbuster, while new additions to the cast include Kate Winslet, Oona Chaplin, Cliff Curtis, Britain Dalton, Filip Geljo, Jamie Flatters, Bailey Bass, Trinity Bliss, Jack Champion, Duane Evans Jr., Edie Falco, Brendan Cowell, Michelle Yeoh, Jemaine Clement, Keston John and CJ Jones.

Avatar 2 is set for release in December 2022, followed by Avatar 3 in 2024, Avatar 4 in 2026 and Avatar 5 in 2028.
