Daisy Ridley is not ruling out a return to Star Wars

September 11, 2020 by Samuel Brace

Daisy Ridley, who played Rey in the Star Wars Sequel Trilogy, says she is not ruling out a return to the franchise sometime in the future.

With The Mandalorian season two just around the corner, and the promise of more Disney+ shows on the horizon, its a good time to be a Star Wars fan.

The films are taking a back seat for now after Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker wrapped up the main saga last year. Daisy Ridley, who starred in the Sequel Trilogy as Rey, is unlikely to return to the role any time soon but recent comments from the actress have left room for hope.

Speaking on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the actress said: “I mean, the world is a crazy place right now. 10 years seems an awfully long way away. I think never say never, but to me, Rise of Skywalker was tied up with a bow.”

Who knows, perhaps decades into the future, Ridley might bring Rey back for a new story. After all, how many people thought that Mark Hamill would return to the big screen as Luke after Return of the Jedi. Yet all these years later he was a major feature of the Sequel Trilogy.
