Noah Hawley’s Star Trek movie doesn’t include Kirk or Picard

Noah Hawley has revealed that his Star Trek movie won’t feature either Kirk or Picard and will instead focus on new characters.

The future of Star Trek movies has just got a bit clearer thanks to a slice of info from the man behind the next movie.

Noah Hawley, the creator of Legion and the Fargo TV show, has been hired for a new Star Trek movie and now he has revealed that it will be a completely new chapter in the franchise without Kirk or Picard.

Speaking to Variety, Hawley said: “We’re not doing Kirk and we’re not doing Picard. It’s a start from scratch that then allows us to do what we did with Fargo, where for the first three hours you go, ‘Oh, it really has nothing to do with the movie,’ and then you find the money. So you reward the audience with a thing that they love.”

Hawley’s movie is currently on hold but the script is apparently written so if and when the green light is given, Hawley can start to get this next entry on its feet.
