Chloe Gracë Moretz to star in sci-fi series The Peripheral

October 6, 2020 by Ricky Church

Chloë Grace Moretz (Suspiria) has just landed a leading role in a new sci-fi series from Amazon. According to Variety, she will star in The Peripheral which comes from writer Scott B. Smith (The Burnt Orange Heresy) and Westworld creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy.

Based on the novel by William Gibson, The Peripheral follows Flynne Fisher (Moretz), “a woman trying to hold together the pieces of her broken family in a forgotten corner of tomorrow’s America. Flynne is smart, ambitious and doomed. She has no future – until the future comes calling for her.”

Smith will write, executive produce and act as co-showrunner for the series alongside Greg Plageman (Person of Interest), who will also co-showrun and executive produce. The Peripheral falls under the deal Nolan and Joy signed with Amazon last year and they will executive produce through their Kilter Films company. It will be directed by Vincent Natali (Hannibal), who is also set to executive produce.

Amazon and Warner Bros. will produce the series.
