This is Us season 5 premiere moved up by two weeks, new promo released

October 15, 2020 by Ricky Church

NBC has announced the fifth season of its hit series This is Us will begin much sooner than expected. Originally set to premiere November 10, it will now air with a two-hour premiere on October 27. Check out the season’s poster and watch the teaser below…

The series follows the drama of the Pearson family, bouncing between the years and generations of the family as they navigate their lives and continue to deal with the untimely death of their father Jack and their own experiences as parents.

The premiere will pick up some time after the fourth season’s finale, in which Justin Hartley’s Kevin and Sterling K. Brown’s Randall had a very explosive verbal fight that damaged their relationship forever. The synopsis for the premiere reads:

In the two-hour premiere, the Pearsons gather to celebrate their 40th birthday while musing about the day they were born.

This Is Us stars Mandy Moore (Rebecca), Justin Hartley (Kevin), Chrissy Metz (Kate), Sterling K. Brown (Randall), Susan Kelechi Watson and Milo Ventimiglia (Jack). Season five will premiere Tuesday, October 27th.
