Red Stewart presents five brutal superhero deaths in comic book movies…

Being a costumed crimefighter isn’t easy- you not only have to engage in frequent combat situations but also deal with sociopathic enemies who want nothing more than for you to go away…permanently.

Sometimes, they actually succeed, and we see a superhero fall on their sword. At times, though, the writers and creatives go a step further, opting to depict their death as part of a greater tragedy that warrants a more violent end.

As such, we at Flickering Myth are going to be looking at five of the most brutal deaths experienced by superheroes. Spoilers follow, naturally…
