Marvel’s Moon Knight series adds Ethan Hawke as the main villain

January 16, 2021 by Liam Waddington

Having found its Marc Spector in Oscar Isaac, Marvel Studios’ Moon Knight series has now found its main villain in Ethan Hawke (First Reformed).

According to The Hollywood Reporter, there are no specific details on which character Hawke will be playing in the series but the outlet did note that Moon Knight’s archnemesis is considered to be a villain named Bushman, a fellow mercenary who turned on the hero when Egyptian gold came into the picture – making Bushman a potential possibility to clash with Moon Knight.

While plot details are being kept under wraps, we do know Ramy actress May Calamawy will star alongside Isaac and Hawke and the series will be directed by Mohamed Diab (Cairo 678) and Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead (Synchronic) with Jeremy Slater (The Umbrella Academy) serving as the showrunner. Filming on Moon Knight is scheduled to get underway in Budapest, Hungary in March.

What are your thoughts on the hiring of Ethan Hawke as the main villain? Are you looking forward to Moon Knight? Let us know on Facebook or Twitter @flickeringmyth…
