Marvel’s WandaVision to premiere with two episodes on Friday

January 9, 2021 by Amie Cranswick

While Disney+ prefers the traditional weekly distribution model as opposed to the full-season drops of Netflix et al, Marvel fans will receive a double dose of WandaVision when the Marvel Studios series premieres on the Disney+ streaming service this coming Friday.

Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe have been starved of new content for almost a year and a half now, with the coronavirus outbreak pushing back all of Marvel Studios’ film and television releases and delaying the launch of Phase Four of the MCU.

However, all that will change on Friday with the premiere of WandaVision starring Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany, and it has been confirmed that we’ll be getting two episodes on January 15th, with the remaining seven episodes of the nine-episode series arriving every Friday through to March 5th.

After a two-week break, Phase Four will then continue with The Falcon and the Winter Soldier premiering its first of six episodes on March 19th and – potentially – Black Widow opening in cinemas in May.

While we await WandaVision, here’s a look at the latest promos featuring Olsen’s Scarlet Witch and Bettany’s Vision:

Marvel Studios’ captivating new series WandaVision stars Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany and marks the first series from Marvel Studios streaming exclusively on Disney+. The series is a blend of classic television and the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff and Vision—two super-powered beings living idealized suburban lives—begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.

WandaVision is set to premiere January 15th, 2021, and features a cast that includes Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch), Paul Bettany (Vision), Kat Dennings (Darcy Lewis), Randall Park (Agent Jimmy Woo), Teyonah Parris (Empire) as Monica Rambeau, and Kathryn Hahn (Bad Moms) as Agnes.
