Thor: Love and Thunder set photos feature a new Asgardian play and a surprise addition to the troupe

Warning: Minor Thor: Love and Thunder spoilers follow…

As filming on Marvel’s Thor: Love and Thunder continues Down Under, a whole host of new set photos have arrived online this week which reveal that we’ll be seeing another Asgardian play from the troupe of actors in Thor: Ragnarok.

As you can see below, this time we’re actually dramatising the events of Ragnarok, with Luke Hemsworth’s ‘Thor’, Sam Neill’s ‘Odin’ and Matt Damon’s ‘Loki’ joined by a new addition in Melissa McCarthy, who is taking on the role of Cate Blanchett’s villain Hela.

Directed by Thor: Ragnarok helmer Taika Waititi, who also reprises his on-screen role as Korg, Thor: Love and Thunder stars Chris Hemsworth (Thor), alongside the returning Natalie Portman (Jane Foster), Tessa Thompson (Valkyrie), Jaimie Alexander (Lady Sif), Chris Pratt (Star-Lord), Karen Gillan (Nebula), Pom Klementieff (Mantis), Dave Bautista (Drax), Sean Gunn (Kraglin) and Christian Bale (Ford v Ferrari) as Gorr the God Butcher. The film is set for a May 6th, 2022 release.
