Michael Cera joins Amy Schumer’s comedy series Life & Beth

April 13, 2021 by Matt Rodgers

Arrested Development and Scott Pilgrim star Michael Cera has signed up to become a series regular in Amy Schumer’s Hulu comedy original Life & Beth.

Life & Beth is being created, directed, written, and executive produced by Schumer, who hasn’t been seen in a starring role since 2018 dud I Feel Pretty.

The Endeavour Content produced series focuses on Beth (Schumer), “whose life looks pretty great on paper. Impressive to everyone she grew up with. She makes a good living as a wine distributor. She’s in a long term relationship with an attractive, successful guy and lives in Manhattan. When a sudden incident forces Beth to engage with her past, her life changes forever. Through flashbacks to her teen self, Beth starts to learn how she became who she is and who she wants to become. We’ll go on her journey towards building a more authentic life. Learning to express herself and living in an intentional way. A trip down memory lane is a strong source of trauma, comedy and moving forward.”

According to Deadline, the former George Michael Bluth will play John, a farmer who is always honest and to the point.

Life & Beth is expected to arrive on Hulu later this year.
