Resident Evil Village debuts new story trailer at the Resident Evil showcase

Resident Evil Village, the eighth mainline installment in the long-running video game franchise, is only months away. Since the announcement, fans have clamored for any detail concerning this new entry, and the latest trailer is offering up the best look yet.

In the latest look, we learn more about Ethan Walker’s backstory and of course got more from the instant fan-favorite villain Lady Demitrescu. Here’s the second trailer for Resident Evil Village:

The Resident Evil showcase event has featured announcements, including the dates for the first multiplatform demo. They also announced that one of their most popular entries, Resident Evil 4, is coming to VR. Check out the full event below:

“Resident Evil Village is set a few years after Resident Evil 7. Ethan Winters returns as the protagonist. Ethan has been living with his wife Mia and daughter Rosemary when Chris Redfield suddenly appears and kidnaps him to a mysterious European village. Ethan has to traverse the village to rescue Rosemary. The game also features an antagonist known as Alcina Dimitrescu, as well as the deity-like figure Mother Miranda, who is a ‘presence worshipped by the villagers.'”

Resident Evil Village is coming to PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on May 7th, 2021.
