Timur Bekmambetov’s screenlife terrorism thriller Profile gets a first trailer

April 7, 2021 by Amie Cranswick

Focus Features has released a trailer for director Timur Bekmambetov’s (Night Watch, Wanted) new ‘screenlife’ thriller Profile.

Based on Anna Erelle’s non-fiction book, In the Skin of a Jihadist, the film plays out entirely on a computer screen similar to 2018’s Searching (which Bekmambetov produced) and follows an undercover British journalist as she tries to expose a terrorist recruiter through social media; watch it here…

PROFILE follows an undercover British journalist in her quest to bait and expose a terrorist recruiter through social media, while trying not to be sucked in by her recruiter and lured into becoming a militant extremist herself.

Profile is set for release on May 14th.
