Dying Light 2 Stay Human gets a release date and details

In the first episode of Techland’s Dying 2 Know web series covering Dying Light 2 Stay Human, the developers revealed that the highly anticipated game will release on 7th December on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Playstation 4 and 5 and PC.  Among the reveals in this episode were a unique gameplay trailer, a bit of a story background and the all-important info that pre-orders are available now.

Dying Light 2 Stay Human takes players to the City which happens to be mankind’s last stronghold in the fight against the virus.  There’s a vast open world to explore and the state of this forced modern dark age will require players to be creative in their approaches to finding and crafting items.  With a day and night cycle, players will be able to plunder the lairs of the infected and discover the secrets of those humans that are in power.

When it comes to pre-orders, there are three retail editions available: Standard, Deluxe and Collector’s with the latter of these including a lovely looking statuette, an art book (no doubt filled with excellent concept art of locations in the game), map of the city, postcards and much more.  There will also be three digital editions: Standard, Deluxe and Ultimate.  All those who pre-order the game, either digitally or physically, will receive an exclusive digital Reload Pack that includes a unique outfit, weapon and paraglider skin.

For those gamers yet to experience the original Dying Light, Techland have prepared a special Platinum Edition which will feature all the DLC released for the game so far.  This will be available on the Microsoft Store, Playstation Store (for Plus members only), Steam and GOG and will be the best opportunity for gamers to explore Harran and follow the story of Kyle Crane.
