American battleships come to World of Warships: Legends in June update

June 21, 2021 by Andrew Newton

The June update for World of Warships: Legends has arrived and brings with it a new line of American battleships, a new campaign, a new season of Arena and three German aircraft carriers.  Watch the June update trailer below for a look at these new vessels.

Arriving at the docks in early access are a new line of American battleships from Tier IV.  All three vessels are heavy hitters with the Tier IV Nevada kitted out with ten 14 inch cannons and only getting better and more powerful with the Tennessee and Tier VI North Carolina.   Next month will see the arrival of the Tier VII Kansas which has twelve 16 inch cannons.  All the battleships will be able to be obtained from USN battleship containers that can be earned through the campaign and the new bureau project: Star-Spangled Fleet.

The new bureau project: Star-Spangled Fleet will provide free permanent camouflages for American battleships of both tech trees and as the ultimate prize there will be the free premium American battleship—Oklahoma, the sister-ship to Nevada and one of the victims of the Pearl Harbour attack.

The new campaign called ‘Georgia On My Mind’, focuses on the fast American battleship, Georgia.  This Iowa-class battleship boasts six 18-inch, an improved repair party and signature American anti-aircraft firepower.  This 5 week campaign features 100 milestones to complete and those who do will earn the Georgia as well as a pile of rewards.

The June update also introduces three German aircraft carriers, the Rhein at tier III, Weser at tier V and August von Parseval at Tier VII, all three of which are able to unlock on the tech tree.  They also bring the new Armour Piercing Bombs to the high seas which are useful for dealing a significant amount of damage to the citadels of ships.

Finally, from 24th June to 12th July, players will be able to take part in a new season of Arena.  This new season features the Arms Race mode and will see players compete for the variety of bonuses and buffs scattered around the map.

Set sail for a summer of high seas action with World of Warships: Legends.
