3D platformer Super Sami Roll now available on Steam

July 23, 2021 by Andrew Newton

Sonzai Games’ 3D platformer Super Sami Roll is now available on Steam.  Inspired by classics such as Marble Madness and Super Monkey Ball, Super Sami Roll features adorable characters, rolling hills and plenty of thrills.  Enjoy the launch trailer below….

In Super Sami Roll players will need to help Sami rescue his friend Vera who has been taken by the villainous Albert VII.  In order to rescue her, Sami must journey through beautiful green fields, deserts littered with ancient pyramids, dangerous bubbling volcanoes, frozen ice lands and many other locations. Should Sami find himself in a sticky situation he is able to use his grappling hook tongue to help get him out.  There’s lots of memorable characters to meet and plenty of secrets to discover.

Featuring:

  • A picturesque world with eye-catching environments.
  • Dozens of unique levels to playthrough.
  • Hand crafted pixel art meets modern 3D graphics.
  • Tons of secrets to discover and extras to unlock.
  • Customise Sami to your heart’s content.
  • Easy to learn but gets progressively difficult.
  • An upbeat musical score.

“With Super Sami Roll, I wanted to create a game that brings back the ‘warm and fuzzy’ feeling we all experienced back in the ‘90s (and early ’00s) playing 3D platformers – particularly the rolling kind. However, I wanted more than to simply pay homage to a beloved genre. I want to give players something new … and that’s precisely where the grappling tongue comes in! This core mechanic – plus a living, breathing world filled with personable NPCs – is what makes Super Sami Roll special.” – Sergio Matta (CEO and Lead Developer, Sonzai Games).

Super Sami Roll is available now on Steam with a limited time discount of 34%.
