Exclusive Interview – M. Night Shyamalan dishes on Old and teases new films

July 19, 2021 by EJ Moreno

EJ Moreno speaks to iconic director M. Night Shyamalan about his new film Old…

Sitting down with M. Night Shyamalan is an honor for any genre fan. The man has crafted some of the most intriguing and polarizing films for decades now and seems like he won’t be slowing down anytime soon. With Old, he’s back with another genre-bending psychodrama that Shyamalan shot during the pandemic.

The filmmaker opens up about shooting on location, his upcoming film ideas, and how much work he puts into crafting a project. Watch our talk below, and be sure to follow us on YouTube for more exclusive interviews and content…

This summer, visionary filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan unveils a chilling, mysterious new thriller about a family on a tropical holiday who discover that the secluded beach where they are relaxing for a few hours is somehow causing them to age rapidly … reducing their entire lives into a single day.

Written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan, Old‘s stellar lineup includes Gael García Bernal (Mozart in the Jungle), Vicky Krieps (Phantom Thread), Rufus Sewell (The Man in the High Castle), Ken Leung (Star Wars: The Force Awakens), Nikki Amuka-Bird (Jupiter Ascending), Abbey Lee (Lovecraft Country), Aaron Pierre (Krypton), Alex Wolff (Hereditary), Embeth Davidtz (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo), Eliza Scanlen (Little Women), Emun Elliott (Star Wars: The Force Awakens), Kathleen Chalfant (The Affair) and Thomasin McKenzie (Jojo Rabbit).

Old’s secrets will be revealed in cinemas on July 23rd.
