Joe Lo Truglio to make feature directorial debut with horror Outpost

July 12, 2021 by Gary Collinson

Brooklyn Nine-Nine star Joe Lo Truglio is set to make his feature directorial debut with Outpost, a horror which he describes as a “nightmare on a mountain, about a woman fighting demons – and the demons are winning.”

“It seemed like the perfect time to pivot and do something I’ve wanted to do since I was thirteen: make a scary movie,” says Lo Truglio, a self-confessed life-long horror fan. “And to do it with friends, new and old – that’s the dream. We’re lucky.”

For Outpost, Lo Truglio has assembled a cast that includes Beth Dover (Orange Is The New Black), Dylan Baker (Hunters), Becky Ann Baker (Big Little Lies), Dallas Roberts (The Walking Dead), Ta’Rea Campbell (Blue Bloods), and Ato Essandoh (Vinyl).

Filming on Outpost is set to get underway this week, with Lo Truglio writing and directing as well as producing alongside Kara Baker (Zola).
