John Wick: Chapter 4 adds Marko Zaror in villain role

July 13, 2021 by Ricky Church

As production gears up for John Wick: Chapter 4, Deadline reports that the film has cast Marko Zaror (From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series) as the next man to fight Keanu Reeves’ deadly assassin John Wick.

Zaror will star alongside Reeves’ John Wick, Donnie Yen (Ip Man) as a fellow assassin who “shares his same history and many of the same enemies” and Japanese-British pop singer Rina Sawayama as an as-yet-unrevealed female lead. Returning starts include Ian McShane (American Gods) as Winston, Lance Reddick (Fringe) as Charron and Laurence Fishburne (Black-ish) as The Bowery King. Newcomers to the John Wick franchise also include Hiroyuki Sanada (Army of the Dead), who will be playing an important character known as Watanabe, Shamier Anderson (Wynonna Earp), Bill Skarsgård (It Chapter Two), Scott Adkins (The Bourne Ultimatum).

While plot details are being kept under wraps, it’s safe to assume that Chapter 4 will pick up after the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum with Keanu Reeves’ John Wick aiming to get revenge against Ian McShane’s Winston for betraying him and taking the fight to the High Table directly.

John Wick: Chapter 4 is currently scheduled for a May 27th, 2022 release.
