The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf teaser trailer revealed at WitcherCon

Now that Netflix has revealed when the long-delayed second season of The Witcher will premiere, they have also revealed a teaser trailer for the anime film The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf. Fans impatient for the the return of the main series will have their fill of Witcher content when the anime premieres on the streaming service August 23rd. Watch the trailer below…

Nightmare of the Wolf will serve as a prequel to the main series and focus on Vesemir, the Witcher who trained Geralt of Rivia, in one of his earliest hunts. The synopsis reads:

Before Geralt, there was Vesemir — a cocky young witcher who delights in slaying monsters for coin. When a dangerous new power rises on the Continent, Vesemir learns that some witchering jobs are about more than just money…

The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf is produced by The Witcher‘s Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, Beau DeMayo and Korean animation studio Studio Mir.
