There’s some good games in store for Gold subscribers this August as Microsoft finally end all speculation and announce the upcoming Games with Gold. As usual, gamers will get a couple of Xbox One titles and will be able to go old school with two classic Xbox 360 titles.
Throughout all of August, players will be able to return to an apocalyptic Earth in Darksiders III. Take the role of Fury and hunt down the Seven Deadly Sins to restore balance to the forces that are ravaging the Earth. As Fury, the fourth horseman of the apocalypse, players will be able to use powerful magic that will unleash her various forms, with each providing access to new weapons, moves and abilities.
From 16th August to 15th September players will be able to download open-world platformer Yooka-Laylee. Using adorable buddy duo Yooka and Laylee, players will embark on an epic adventure through huge beautiful worlds and meet an unforgettable cast of characters. This duo has a wealth of special moves that will help them tackle a huge variety of puzzles and challenges.
Available via backwards compatibility for the first half of August is Lost Planet 3. In this third title in the Lost Planet franchise, players will return to the inhospitable world to discover more truths about the planet and the colonial history of E.D.N. III. The second half of August brings SNK’s ninth and final installment of the Fatal Fury series, Gorou: Mark of the Wolves, with it’s strange named fighter Krushnood Butt.
