Former Avengers assemble as Scarlett Johansson and Chris Evans reunite for Ghosted

August 31, 2021 by Matt Rodgers

They have fought alongside each other through multiple movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but now that both Scarlett Johansson and Chris Evans have hung up their costumes it appears that the one time Captain America and Black Widow are already set to transfer their chemistry and reunite for Apple Studios romantic action-adventure Ghosted.

Directed by Rocketman and Sunshine on Leith helmer Dexter Fletcher, Deadline reports that the duo are in advanced negotiations to star in Ghosted, which is written by Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, the writers of Zombieland and the Deadpool movies. There are no details when it comes to the plot of the film, but the duo came up with the idea, pitched it to Skydance Studios and they’ve paired with Apple.

Johansson isn’t completely done with Marvel following the news that her attorneys filed a lawsuit against Disney over the their decision to day-and-date release Black Widow on Disney+, but this is the second piece of casting news in quick succession following the announcement that she has signed on to appear in Wes Anderson’s next feature film.
