Run a medieval merchants in Merek’s Market, coming this September

August 6, 2021 by Andrew Newton

Indie developer Big Village Games will be releasing their medieval themed crafting and selling game Merek’s Market on Xbox One, Playstation 4, PC via Steam and Google Stadia on 15th September.  If ever you’ve wondered what happens behind the scenes in all those merchants shops in RPG games then Merek’s Market may help shed some light on it.  See more of the frantic selling action in the trailer below….

Become the owner of Merek’s Market, a small medieval retailer that caters for all those busy adventurers going about their business and delving into dungeons.  Welcome a host of new customers and haggle, barter and craft your way to financial success.  Fill up the inventory to supply the customers with quality goods and enjoy the over the top crafting challenges.

Featuring:

  • Haggling – Adjust prices and get the best possible price.
  • Crafting – Create items of considerable beauty then create pretty awful looking items too.
  • Take to the counter with up to 3 friends in a full co-op campaign or just enjoy a comical single player campaign.

“The last 18 months have been really tough on everyone so what better way to mark the return to “normality” than a session of good, old fashioned co-op gaming set in a store with no masks required?” ponders Dave Warderley of Big Village Games. “Merek’s Market is fun for all the family – friends away for the summer break? Your parents will totally be useful teammates. Lockdown took its toll? Save the relationship with some quality time. Struggle with the most basic games? That’s fine, just look like you’re doing something useful while your team carries you.”

Merek’s Market will arrive on the Xbox family, Playstation 4, Google Stadia and Steam on 15th September, priced £14.99/$19.99/€17.99.
