Toronto International Film Festival premiered one of the year’s most interesting horror films with DASHCAM. Director Rob Savage returns after his breakout hit, 2020’s Host, with a new found-footage romp from Blumhouse.

Critic EJ Moreno breaks down why this is one of his favorite films of TIFF 2021, and why this is going to be a massive horror hit for genre fans. And like others have mentioned, prepare for one of the wildest central characters in quite some time.

DASHCAM is based on a musician who exaggerates her own polarizing online persona and depressed by her pandemic lifestyle in Los Angeles, she breaks quarantine for London, England, and the hospitality of a former bandmate.

DASHCAM is directed by Rob Savage and written by Savage, Gemma Hurley, and Jed Shepherd. The film stars Seylan Baxter, Amar Chadha-Patel, and Angela Enahoro.
